We have decided to form a business alliance with J-Payment Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "J-Payment"), which develops "EC support services", and to undertake various operations of the service of early payment of Credit card payment sales proceeds from J-Payment through BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) and to underwrite all the corporate bonds issued by the company.

J-Payment provides comprehensive EC support services, including online Credit card payment agency services, for e-commerce sites and mail-order companies as an "EC support service." We plan to go public in 2007.

GMO-PG is connected to 35 major credit card companies and maintains an infrastructure environment that allows all credit cards circulated in Japan to be used. J-Payment's Credit card payment processing service uses this infrastructure.

Payment of sales proceeds from credit card companies to merchants such as e-commerce sites is usually about 15~75 days later. For this reason, the more sales grow, the more working capital is required for merchants, so there was a problem of collecting sales proceeds as soon as possible.

GMO-PG is working to expand the base of e-commerce and Credit card payment by solving these issues through the Optional Services "Quick Deposit Service," which shortens the payment site to merchants in "merchant acquiring service," which concludes a contract of merchants and deposits sales proceeds on behalf of the merchant.

This alliance is intended to support partner companies in realizing these services in order to meet a wider range of needs. The "Shortened Deposit Service" enables J-Payment users to secure working capital and improve cash flow.

Strengthening Relationships with Partners

In order to make Credit card payment more widely available to consumers and e-commerce sites, there is a growing need to provide BPO and infrastructure services to e-commerce support companies and Credit card payment processing service companies that have a large number of e-commerce sites as customers.
