Selected as an "Outstanding Winner" in the "ODPO Data Utilization Idea Contest" sponsored by Osaka Prefecture

GMO Payment Gateway, Inc. (hereinafter referred to as GMO-PG) was selected as an "Outstanding Winner" in the "ODPO Data Utilization Idea ^{Contest (*1)"} sponsored by Osaka Prefecture.

In Osaka Prefecture, in order to promote the distribution and cooperation of various data between the public and private sectors, improve convenience for the citizens of Osaka Prefecture, and strengthen the competitiveness of Osaka's cities, Osaka Prefecture is promoting the operation and utilization of the Osaka Wide-area Data Collaboration Platform (ORDEN) ^(*2), which is an indispensable social infrastructure for the realization of smart cities.
The "ODPO Data Utilization Idea Contest" is a contest that competes for ideas that lead to the resolution of various administrative issues and the promotion of measures using a platform for data mediation using the Osaka Wide-area Data Collaboration Platform (ORDEN) operated by Osaka Prefecture. Proposals from companies and organizations are reviewed by external judges based on criteria for usefulness, specificity, feasibility/continuity, and applicability.
This year's first event was held under the themes of "urban development that is friendly to the elderly," "urban development that is easy to raise children," and "urban development with smooth mobility."

GMO-PG proposed cashless solutions under the theme of "creating a city that is friendly to the elderly using passenger information on route buses" and was highly evaluated as an innovative idea and initiative that will open up the future of Osaka Prefecture, and was selected as the highest "Winner" in the contest (second screening) held on January 16, 2025.

GMO-PG provides services based on payment that support online, cashless, DX, etc. We will continue to drive social innovation with payment and finance technologies and contribute to the realization of a sustainable society and the progress and development of society.
