GMO Enpay, Inc.
GMO Internet Group's GMO Enpay, Inc. (*1) (President & Chief Executive Officer: Junichi Moriwaki hereinafter referred to as "GMO Enpay") will launch a new product on its FinTech SaaS platform "enpay byGMO" (enpay GMOs) that realizes cashless and DX for collection operations from March 16×, 2026 (Monday). We have launched a new feature "Rakuraku AI Invoice Import".
This function is a function that allows AI to analyze the file structure and extract and convert billing information just by uploading an Excel file, eliminating friction in data formatting caused by manual labor through the use of AI. The technology related to this function is currently patent pending.
- *1 GMO Enpay is a consolidated company of GMO Payment Gateway, Inc..
【Background】
In educational institutions such as nursery schools, kindergartens, and schools, the digitization of collection operations and the reduction of workload have become important issues. According to a survey on the implementation of ICT in the childcare field, 84.4% of childcare facilities have introduced one of the childcare ICT functions (*2)。 The survey identified four typical functions that make up childcare ICT: "school attendance and dismissal management function", "communication function with parents", "childcare planning and recording function", and "cashless payment related function", of which the introduction rate of "cashless payment related functions" is only 15.0%.
On the other hand, in interviews with facilities that have already introduced cashless payment, 91.5% of respondents said that the psychological burden of handling cash has been reduced, and 89.1% of the respondents said that the administrative burden of collecting cash has been reduced, confirming its high effectiveness.
In addition, according to the results of the self-inspection of the School Affairs DX Checklist published by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, 39.3% of schools answered that they are "completely digital" about school levies. The breakdown is 37.3% partially implemented (more than half), 8.4% partially implemented (less than half), and 15.0% did not do it at all, indicating that many schools have not fully transitioned (*3).
In this way, while the digitization of collection operations in the childcare and education sectors is progressing, it shows that the implementation status and the degree of complete transition are not uniform.
GMO Enpay aims to create an environment where educational sites can devote more time to their original work through DX of money collection operations in the childcare and education industry.
The specific practical process we focused on is the pre-invoicing process of importing billing data into the system, that is, the "pre-billing process". The process of preparing billing data is still manual, requiring different Excel formats and multi-sheet configurations for each facility. In order to get it into the system, pre-processing such as sorting columns and organizing items is required. These processes are highly dependent on personal tasks and affect overall operational efficiency.
GMO Enpay emphasizes design that reduces the burden while taking advantage of on-site operations without assuming changes in business flows. While utilizing Excel operations as they are, the use of AI eliminates friction in data formatting caused by manual labor.

[About the new function "Rakuraku AI Invoice Import"]
(URL:https://www.enpay.co.jp/service/ai-invoice-import)You can use it by uploading the Excel file you are using for billing work as it is. AI analyzes the file structure and automatically extracts billing information such as user name, billing amount, and breakdown (*4). The extracted data is automatically converted to the billing data format of "enpay byGMO" and can be registered as it is. It also supports multiple sheet configurations and irregular column orders, and it is easy to check and modify analysis results from the screen.
After completing the billing registration, the payer will be notified on the chat app when the claim is submitted through the "bulk billing" function as before. It can be used without major changes to existing operational flows.
This function is provided as one of the standard functions of "enpay byGMO". No additional option contract is required.
In the β version available from December 2025, it has been confirmed that multi-sheet files can be used as they are, and that high analysis accuracy allows for import without major data modifications.
Some businesses that have used the billing data have been shortened to about 10 minutes, which used to take about 1 hour per month" (*5).
- *4 AI technology is used for the purpose of analysis for claim registration processing, and the analysis data is not used for AI training.
- *5 The quantitative effect depends on the operating conditions of the facility.

[ About GMO Enpay, Inc.]
Under the mission of "Making Fintech Friendly," GMO Enpay provides a FinTech-× SaaS platform that realizes cashless and DX for collection operations specialized in the childcare and education industries.
In the childcare and education industry, cash collection has traditionally been the mainstream, and there is little computer use, so there are still many cash exchanges. Before and after collecting money, a wide range of administrative work occurs on the facility side, such as disseminating the amount, issuing receipts, and reminding parents who have not paid, and parents also have to prepare cash. To address these challenges, GMO Enpay provides a one-stop solution from billing to payment and payment management while incorporating the needs of the digital age, such as chat apps.
The business models of our flagship services, "enpay byGMO" and "koufuri+ byGMO", have obtained multiple patent rights. In addition, we develop and provide user screens with excellent UI/UX that reduce the physical and psychological burden on both facilities and parents.
Since its founding in November 2018, the company has continued to grow, and the number of facilities introduced has exceeded 3,200 (*6), mainly in nursery schools, children's kindergartens, kindergartens, schools, and schoolchildren's facilities nationwide (*6), and has been introduced to many municipalities.
