JFR Card and GMO Payment Gateway Collaborate in Merchant Business
~Jointly promoting regional revitalization of the Group through the expansion of the card merchant network~

From July 2021, JFR Card Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Takatsuki City, Osaka, President & Chief Executive Officer: Mamoru Ninobe, hereinafter referred to as "JFR Card"), which operates the payment and finance business of the J.Front Retailing Group (hereinafter referred to as "JFR Group"), and GMO Payment Gateway, Inc. (TSE partial: Securities Code: 3769, President & Chief Executive Officer: Issei Ainoura hereinafter referred to as "GMO-PG"), which develops comprehensive payment-related services and finance-related services, will jointly promote the expansion of the card merchant network, mainly at stores in the vicinity of the Group's retail facilities.

With the aim of "coexistence with local communities," the Group is promoting development that contributes to improving the attractiveness of the city and creating liveliness by taking advantage of the characteristics of the area, and revitalizing the city by collaborating with the local community at all of its stores.
This time, the JFR card is a "acquiring" ^(*1) of "GMO-PG Processing Platform" provided by GMO-PG. We will introduce the "Support" function and expand the network of card merchants to stores in the vicinity of the JFR Group's commercial facilities, thereby creating a cashless environment for the entire area. This will contribute to CSV (Creating Shared Value) and the creation of regional value, increase the number of visitors to the area (Sapporo, Ueno, Nagoya, Shinsaibashi, Kobe, Kyoto, etc.) centered on stores around the JFR Group's retail facilities, and realize mutual customer transfer between member stores.
The Group positions the payment and finance business as a core business with significant growth potential for the Group and is expanding its business, and the JFR Card aims to be the best partner for payment and finance services that support the "new happiness" of people's lives.
GMO-PG leverages the Actual and know-how it has cultivated through the provision of payment services for e-commerce businesses, and enables financial institution and finance service providers to issue various cards ^(*2)​ ​^(*3). We are developing "GMO-PG Processing Platform" that provides various payment solutions for business and acquiring business development in one place.
As the company began expanding its merchant network, the JFR Card was able to provide easy-to-use services for consumers and merchants by utilizing the "acquiring Support" function of "GMO-PG Processing Platform".

Going forward, JFR Card and GMO-PG will continue to develop finance products and payment services that meet the needs of customers while leveraging their strengths in both real and digital.
