Created by FTSE Russell, this index is designed to measure the performance of companies that are active in environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices.
The Company has been selected as a constituent of this index for two consecutive years since 2023.

This index is used as an ESG index by the GPIF.

FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative IndexMSCI Japan ESG Select Leaders Index
It is an ESG investment index provided by Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI), and companies with relatively high ESG ratings in each industry are selected from among the constituents of the parent index (MSCI Japan Equities IMI Index).
This index is used as an ESG index by the GPIF.
In 2024, the company was selected as a constituent of the index for the first time.

S&P/JPX Carbon Efficient Index
It is an ESG index by S&P and Japan Exchange Group, and is an index that determines the weight of constituent stocks by focusing on the status of environmental information disclosure and the level of carbon efficiency (carbon emissions per unit of sales) with TOPIX as the universe.
This index is used as an ESG index by the GPIF.
ESG External Evaluation
CDP Climate Change Report
CDP provides companies with three questionnaires: climate change, forests, and water security, and the climate change questionnaire evaluates responses to climate change issues based on answers to questions such as greenhouse gas emissions and business risks and opportunities due to climate change. It is scored at the levels of "Information Disclosure", "Awareness", "Management", and "Leadership", and is given a score on a scale of 8 from A to D-.
In February 2024, we received an "A- (Leadership Level)" rating as a company that has implemented best practices in managing environmental issues.
MSCI ESG Ratings
MSCI analyzes companies' environmental, social, and governance initiatives and risk management capabilities for companies around the world, and evaluates them on a seven-point scale from AAA, the highest, to CCC, the lowest.
In June 2022, we were awarded the BBB.

Certified as an Outstanding Health & Productivity Management Organization
In order to support the sustainable growth and active participation of our partners (employees) under the Health Declaration "Well-being With Partners," we have developed an organizational structure centered on the Chief Well-being Officer (CWO) and are developing a rich welfare program in the fields of "food," "healing," "revitalization," and "medicine," and in March 2024, we will Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry in recognition of these efforts. For the second consecutive year, we have been certified as an excellent health management organization (large-scale enterprise category) certified by the Japan Kenko Kaigi.
Certified as a Health Excellence Company "Silver"
In September 2023, we received the "Silver Certification" from the Tokyo Federation of Health Insurance Societies in recognition of our efforts to support our partners' healthy and active lifestyles (achievement of 100% health checkups, (1) utilization of health checkup results, (2) improvement of health promotion environment, (3) diet, (4) exercise, (5) smoking cessation, and (6) mental health).
Certified as an Excellent Health and Safety Company
In May 2024, we were certified as an excellent company in safety and health by the Director-General of the Tokyo Labor Bureau of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare in recognition of our initiatives related to occupational safety and health, such as measures to improve literacy through the in-house portal "PG HEALTH Portal" and the portal provided by the health insurance society "Pep Up," as well as consultation support using "Cocokara" (a consultation service for the mind and body).

Kurumin certified Subsequently, the introduction and use of a support system for balancing childcare and work has progressed, and in June 2024, the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW) was certified as a child-rearing support company (nickname; Platinum Kurumin).

In March 2022, we were certified as a childcare support company (nicknamed Kurumin) based on the Act on Advancement of Measures to Support Raising Next-Generation Children by the Director-General of the Tokyo Labor Bureau of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare in recognition of our efforts to support the balance between work and childcare, such as reviewing the staggered working hours and shortened working hours system and introducing subsidies for the use of babysitters.
Eruboshi Certification (3 stars)
In July 2023, we were certified by the Director-General of the Tokyo Labor Bureau of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW) as a company with an excellent achievement status of five initiatives related to women's empowerment (recruitment, continued employment, work styles such as working hours, ratio of managers, and diverse career courses), and received the highest rank of 3 stars in the "Eruboshi Certification" certification as a company that promotes women's empowerment.

In the August 2024 "Great Place to Work "survey conducted by Great Place to Work® Institute Japan, we were selected as a "Great Place to Work Certification".
This is the 10th time in a row that we have been selected.

The index is designed by FTSE Russell to measure the performance of Japanese companies that demonstrate strong Environment, Social and Government (ESG) practices in each sector and is constructed so that each industry or sector aligns with the Japanese equity market.
This index is adopted as the ESG index for the investment of Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF).
GMO-PG has been selected as constituent of this index for two consecutive years since 2022.

The FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index is designed as a sector neutral benchmark that reflects the performance of companies demonstrating strong Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practices in Japan. The index selects companies with higher ESG Ratings within the top 50% of each sector and supports climate transition to a low carbon economy by evaluating companies' climate governance and climate change efforts via the Transition Pathway Initiative's Management Quality Score.
S&P/JPX Carbon Efficient Index
The S&P/JPX Carbon Efficient Index is designed to measure the performance of companies in the Tokyo Stock Price Index (TOPIX, "underlying index"), while overweighting or underweighting those companies that have lower or higher levels of carbon emissions per unit of revenue and disclosure of environmental information.
This index is adopted as the ESG index for the investment of GPIF.
External Evaluation of Our ESG Initiatives
MSCI ESG RATING
MSCI ESG RATING is based on MSCI's analysis of companies' environmental, social and governance practices and risk management capabilities, and are rated on a seven-point scale ranging from the lowest CCC rating to the highest AAA rating.
In June 2022, GMO-PG received the "BBB" rating.

Certified Health and Productivity Outstanding Organization
Under the health declaration "Well-being With Partners", the Company has been certified by The Nippon Kenko Kaigi, an organization administered by the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Trade, as a Health and Productivity Outstanding Organization 2023 (Large Enterprise Category) on March 2023 in recognition for its supporting initiatives to secure the sustainable growth and productivity of partners (employees) such as adopting an organizational structure centered on the Chief Well-being Officer (CWO) and the abundant employee welfare programs under the themes of "Food," "Healing," "Movement" and "Medicine."
Silver Certificate for "excellent health company"
In recognition of the various initiatives to support the healthy and active lifestyle of partners (100% achievement of annual health checkup, ① responding to the annual health checkup results, ② building an environment conducive to healthiness, ③ nutrition and food, ④ exercise, ⑤ non-smoking and, ⑥ mental health), the Company was awarded the Silver Certificate by the Tokyo Federation of the National Federation of Health Insurance Societies on September 2023.
Kurumin Certification
In March 2022, GMO-PG was certified by the Director of the Tokyo Labor Bureau, Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, under the Act on Advancement of Measures to Support Raising Next-Generation Children, as a company that supports child-care (known as "Kurumin") for its efforts to help employees balance work and child-raising, including a revision of staggered working hours, shortened working-hour system and the introduction of subsidies for the use of babysitters.
Eruboshi Certification (Three-star)
The Company received the highest 3-star "Eruboshi" certification for its promotion of empowerment of women from the Director of the Tokyo Labor Bureau, Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, in July 2023. This award recognizes outstanding companies for their achievements to empower women under the five initiatives of (i) recruitment, (ii) continued employment, (iii) work styles such as working hours, (iv) proportion of women in managerial positions and (v) diverse career courses.
Great Place to Work Certification
GMO-PG was certified as a "Great Place to Work Certification" for the ninth consecutive time in July 2023, in the survey conducted by Great Place to Work® Institute Japan.
