Beware of scams that impersonate the name of our company or similar companies and charge fictitious usage fees.

Recently, we've received a number of inquiries about suspicious charges, where we receive emails or SMS asking for a fee, and when we contact the phone number listed, they claim to be in our name and ask for a payment that they don't recognize. These businesses are not affiliated in any way with the GMO Internet Group, including the Company.
If you receive an email or SMS with suspicious content, such as a request you don't recognize, please do not contact or pay any money.
In the unlikely event that you are a victim, please contact the nearest police or consumer affairs center.

In addition, the methods that we have confirmed are as follows.
They may also come from phone numbers that aren't included in the examples below, but don't contact any of them.

・ You will receive an e-mail or SMS that charges about 300,000 yen as a smartphone setting fee, e-mail content usage fee, information site registration fee, etc.
The SMS includes phone numbers such as "06-6310-××××" and "06-7167-××××" as contact information.
・ If you call the above contact information, a person claiming to be "×× of GMO Payment's Osaka office" will explain that "if you do not pay, we will file a lawsuit".
・ If you reject payment, you will be prompted to lower the amount and purchase electronic money for that amount at a convenience store.
