GMO Payment Gateway, Inc. (TSE partial: Securities Code: 3769, President & Chief Executive Officer: Issei Ainoura hereinafter referred to as "GMO-PG"), which develops comprehensive payment-related services and finance-related services in the GMO Internet Group), has announced the launch of "GMO Cashless," which provides cashless solutions for physical stores in one place. 【Background and Summary】

The Japan government aims to raise the cashless ratio in Japan country, which currently stands at about 20%, to about 40% by 2025 ^(*1)。 In addition to using credit cards and QR code payment instead of cash payments, there are a wide range of initiatives to go cashless in each industry, such as pre-payment online and receiving products at physical stores (offline). Against this backdrop, GMO-PG, which provides comprehensive payment services for online businesses, has received many inquiries from online businesses about expanding into physical (offline) stores, cashless payments from offline businesses, and consultations on businesses that integrate online and offline.
Therefore, GMO-PG has developed the GMO Cashless Platform, which provides cashless solutions at physical stores by utilizing the knowledge of "PG Multi-Payment Service", which unifies the contract, introduction, and payment of various online payment method in order to support a wide range of businesses to go cashless without barriers between online and offline domains. We have started to provide the following services.
Starting today, Monday, November 11, 2019, we plan to gradually expand the number of cashless methods we handle, starting with the provision of services that can introduce and operate various QR and barcode payment services at once.
