GMO Payment Gateway, Inc.
GMO Payment Gateway, Inc. (GMO-PG) of the GMO Internet Group, which provides comprehensive payment-related services and financial services, has onboarded the online payment service "Epos Kantan Payment" of Epos Card Co. Ltd. (Epos Card) to the "PG Multi-Payment Service" effective from May 20, 2019.
Epos Kantan Payment is an ID-payment service that allows Epos cardholders that have registered to EPOS Net to complete payment based on the registered card info. This will enable EC operators to further expand the payment methods offered on their sites, and be able to manage/operate all transactions collectively through this platform*1.
*1 Merchants will need to have a separate contract with Epos Card in order to use/offer Epos Kantan Payment.
【Background and Summary】
EC online sites offer a myriad of different payment methods to consumers in order to minimize the opportunity risk of consumers foregoing the purchase when their choice of payment is unavailable. GMO-PG offers a comprehensive payment service "PG Multi-Payment Service" to EC operators that are looking for a one-stop way to implement several payment methods and avoid the cumbersomeness of signing up for each payment method.
GMO-PG will onboard the EPOS Kantan Payment onto the "PG Multi-Payment Service" from May 20, 2019 in order to enable EC operators to respond to the needs of the users for a broader choice of payment methods.
EC operators that use the PG Multi-Payment Service, will be able to offer EPOS Kantan Payment along with the other payment methods such as credit card and convenience store payments, and enable a one-stop implementation and management of the various payment methods.
Users/consumers can seamlessly complete the transaction from order to payment without the need to input their card number by opting to use their EPOS Net account.
【EPOS Kantan Payment】
EPOS Kantan Payment, offered by EPOS Card, is a payment service whereby users can make payments using the information in the EPOS members-only website "EPOS Net". Users select EPOS Kantan Payment and completes the payment by simply inputting their EPOS Net login ID and Password. Users can also use their EPOS points for the purchase.
This service is available to the 6.76 million EPOS Card members (as of end-December 2018). Non-members can also make purchases by applying online for the EPOS card with a same-day issue of their EPOS Net ID, and then making purchases using the EPOS Kantan Payment*2.
*2 The credit card will be post mailed by EPOS Card after the completion of the assessment.
【PG Multi-Payment Service】
PG Multi-Payment Service is a comprehensive payment service that offers a package of various payments as shown below. This enables merchants to not only manage the various payment methods and its features from a single screen, but also simplifies the cash management by unifying*3 the due date and deposit (transfer of funds) date of the payment methods.
Credit card, convenience store (CVS), carrier billing, e-money, Cash-on-Delivery, bank transfer, PayPal, LINE Pay, multi-currency credit card, Bitcoin, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Payslip (Payment After Delivery), PAYSLE, EPOS Kantan Payment,etc.
