GMO Internet Group develops payment processing business such as non-face-to-face credit cards GMO Payment Gateway, Inc. (President & Chief Executive Officer: Keita Hosoe, hereinafter referred to as "Scudetto"). Worldwide (hereinafter referred to as "ACI") provides "Fraud Prevention Service (ReD)" that detects unauthorized Credit card payment in advance using "ACI ReD Shield".

First of all, from today, November 19, 2015 (Thursday), it will be available in advance to GMO Internet, Inc. 's cloud platform "ConoHa by GMO", and general applications will be accepted from January 2016. GMO-PG focuses on security measures related to the Credit card payment of e-commerce businesses, such as credit card fraud and information leakage, and by providing this "Fraud Prevention Service (ReD)", it is now possible to provide security measures at all stages before payment, payment o'clock, and after payment.

< Security Measures for GMO Payment Gateways>

As of 2014, the e-commerce market in Japan has expanded to a scale of 12.8 trillion yen (up 14.6% from the previous year) ^(*1). Along with this, the use of Credit card payment on the Internet is also increasing rapidly, and it is said that Credit card payment now accounts for more than 50% of the payment methods on e-commerce sites ^(*2).​
In addition, according to a survey (* ³), about 50% of users who use directly managed e-commerce sites ^(*4) place importance on "security measures" in addition to product enhancement and site usability when deciding which site to use payment.

Against this backdrop, GMO-PG is working to expand its security measures related to Credit card payment, such as credit card fraud and information leaks, so that more merchants can use Credit card payment services safely and securely.

As part of this effort, GMO-PG has introduced ACI's "ACI ReD Shield" to detect fraudulent Credit card payment in advance of the Scudetto Japan sales, and has decided to provide "Fraud Prevention Service (ReD)" in "PG Multi-Payment Service". General registration is scheduled to begin in January 2016.

"Fraud Prevention Service (ReD)" provided by GMO-PG is a service that detects third-party fraud in Credit card payment in advance using the latest risk management system "ACI ReD Shield" in EC payment. By setting fraud detection rules in advance, EC businesses can immediately identify transactions that are likely to be fraudulent and respond with the results of the examination as to whether or not they should be traded, so EC businesses can prevent fraudulent transactions before the payment process without placing a burden on consumers who purchase products.
In addition, since "Fraud Prevention Service (ReD)" is implemented in "PG Multi-Payment Service" of GMO-PG, merchants using "PG Multi-Payment Service" can install "ACI ReD Shield" simply by connecting the API. ^(※5)
The cloud platform "ConoHa by GMO", which will introduce "Fraud Prevention Service (ReD)" in advance from today, will detect fraud in advance at the time of payment server charges by credit card.
