(Shibuya-ku, Tokyo), which provides the smartphone-based ride-hailing service "UBER", will start a collaboration project "Dinner at Pallet, Return home by UBER" from today, June 11, 2014 (Wednesday).
Customers who payment for the first time with "GMO Pallet" will receive a free ride coupon worth 4,000 yen that can be used for the first time using "UBER".

"GMO Pallet" is a new payment service that allows you to payment at real stores such as food and beverage and apparel on a smartphone app. Customers can easily payment with just their smartphones without having to take cash or credit cards out of their wallets at payment.
On the other hand, "UBER" is a remarkable service from the United States that allows you to complete everything from a hire car dispatch request to payment on a smartphone app. Currently, the service is available in 126 cities in 36 countries, including all urban areas in the United States, major European cities, Shanghai in China, and Seoul in South Korea.
This time, since both "GMO Pallet" and "UBER" are "services that allow you to payment with just your smartphone without taking out your wallet", we jointly planned "Pallet for dinner and UBER for home" to propose a smart smartphone life.
In this project, customers who use "GMO Pallet" and "UBER" for the first time will receive a free coupon worth 4,000 yen for "UBER" at the time of payment at the first "GMO Pallet".

GMO Pallet, developed by GMO-PG, is a completely new type of payment service that provides a smart consumption experience. Unlike many other smartphone-based payment, customers don't have to take cash or credit cards out of their wallets at payment because payment at physical stores such as food and beverage and apparel can be completed on a smartphone app. For the store side, it can also improve the efficiency of the payment processing operations.

Customers (consumers) who pay the fee can payment at the store with two touches (1 swipe = check-in, 1 type-in = 4-digit PIN) by simply downloading the "GMO Pallet" app (free of charge) in advance and registering their credit card information (*1). On the other hand, after completing the application procedure for "GMO Pallet" (*2), the store will be able to use the store's dedicated "GMO Pallet Cash Register" app (currently only for iOS compatible devices.
