GMO Internet Group develops non-face-to-face credit card payment processing business GMO Payment Gateway, Inc. (TSE Part: Securities Code: 3769 Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, President & Chief Executive Officer: Issei Ainoura (hereinafter referred to as "GMO-PG"), a Malaysian subsidiary, GMO PAYMENT GATEWAY MALAYSIA, has entered into a Malaysian subsidiary, GMO PAYMENT GATEWAY MALAYSIA. SDN.BHD. is pleased to announce the launch of the overseas payment service "GMO-PG Global Payment".
GMO-PG provides the overseas payment service "GMO-PG Global Payment" to Japan businesses that expand into overseas countries and develop non-face-to-face businesses such as E-commerce, and is working to establish overseas bases in Asia to expand the service area. This is the third overseas subsidiary in Malaysia to be established in December 2013, following Singapore and Hong Kong.

【Overview】

GMO-PG was acquired in October 2012 by the Singapore Consolidated subsidiary GMO PAYMENT GATEWAY PTE. Starting with the establishment of LTD., we started to develop payment processing business mainly in Asia, and now we provide the overseas payment service "GMO-PG Global Payment" through our Singapore subsidiary and our Hong Kong subsidiary, GMO PAYMENT GATEWAY HONG KONG LIMITED, which was established in September 2013.
In the course of developing its business in the Asian region, GMO-PG has decided that there is a high need for Malaysia, which is a multiethnic country and a gateway to the Islamic world, as a destination for non-face-to-face business operators who expand from Japan to overseas countries E-commerce and sell games and digital content. Therefore, in December 2013, we established a local subsidiary in Malaysia and have started offering the overseas payment service "GMO-PG Global Payment".

GMO-PG will continue to expand its services in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Malaysia, as well as in Southeast Asia and East Asia, including Indonesia, Thailand, and Taiwan, by establishing local subsidiaries or branch offices and collaborating with optimal alliance partners that provide major payment method in each country and region.

[ About the overseas payment service "GMO-PG Global Payment"]

The overseas payment service "GMO-PG Global Payment" is a service for Japan businesses that have local subsidiaries that have expanded into overseas countries and develop non-face-to-face businesses such as E-commerce (*). By connecting to the GMO-PG Global Platform, businesses can use multiple payment method in multiple countries.
GMO-PG has established local subsidiaries and branch offices in each country where the GMO-PG Global Platform can be used, and in addition to providing support from negotiations in Japanese to operational support, sales proceeds are deposited in the local currency of each country where the service is used, so you can use it with peace of mind.
In addition to providing payment services, GMO-PG also proposes optimal solutions for the development of customers' services by tying up with local businesses in each country for logistics, promotion, marketing, etc., which are necessary for non-face-to-face business such as E-commerce.

When using this service by a corporation in Japan, it will be provided within the scope that it does not conflict with restrictions on cross-border transactions of credit card brands or the laws of overseas countries.
