"Digital Restaurant byGMO" launches PoC for takeout and delivery with Lawson.
~Verifying the creation of a new purchasing experience starting from convenience stores~

GMO Financial Gate, Inc. ^(*1) (President & Chief Executive Officer: Kentaro Sugiyama, hereinafter "GMO-FG") of the GMO Internet Group has launched a PoC using Lawson, Inc. (hereinafter "Lawson") and the restaurant operations support and mobile ordering service "Digital Restaurant byGMO."
Starting July 2026, we will be implementing "Machi no Lunch wa Omakase Bin by Lawson," where products ordered via LINE are delivered to the office, and from August of the same year, "Lawson mobile order" will be implemented, allowing customers to pre-order and payment products via LINE and pick up the products in-store.

【Background】

In the environment surrounding convenience stores, the demand for new purchasing experiences such as mobile ordering and delivery is expanding, driven by diversified lifestyles and rising demand for ready-to-eat meals. Companies are required to meet these needs by creating new sales channels that can offer products more easily.
Recognizing these challenges, both companies have launched this initiative to utilize "Digital Restaurant byGMO" to verify the acceptance of new purchasing experiences starting with Lawson, as well as the potential for new sales acquisition.

"Digital Restaurant byGMO" is a service provided by GMO-FG that supports the digitalization of ordering, payment, and store operations at restaurants. It supports in-store orders, takeout, delivery, and more, allowing customers to select products from their smartphones and payment cashless. Stores can centrally manage order information, reducing the burden of phone handling and billing tasks and preventing order errors. It supports integration with POS registers, delivery management services, digital signage, and customization tailored to store formats and operations, helping to improve operational efficiency and customer convenience.

■「Machi no Lunch wa Omakase Bin by Lawson」

Targeting specific office buildings in Sapporo City, product orders will be accepted via LINE until 10:30 a.m. on the same day and delivered to the office. This initiative will verify the acceptance of new shopping experiences during busy lunch hours.

■「Lawson mobile order」

If you place an order in advance via LINE and payment cashless and arrive at the indicated pickup time, you can smoothly receive your ordered items. We provide a stress-free shopping experience even during peak hours and verify the sales growth effect of introducing automated cooking robots.
