(Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director: Atsushi Otaka, hereinafter "TMN") have added the all-in-one mobile payment terminal "stera mobile" to the payment terminal lineup of the payment platform "stera" provided by Sumitomo Mitsui Card in June 2021. Installation will begin sequentially from July.
＜About "stera" and "stera terminal"＞
"stera" is a payment platform for businesses (merchants) built by Sumitomo Mitsui Card in collaboration with GMO Payment Gateway, Inc., GMO-FG, and Visa Worldwide Japan Co., Ltd. From the "center function" that performs transaction data processing to the "network function" that delivers transaction data to each payment processing business, it covers all the functions necessary for cashless payment.
In addition, in July 2020, we began offering the Stera Terminal, an all-in-one payment terminal with various functions, for businesses in real stores. This "Stera Terminal" is an all-in-one payment terminal that allows you to handle all payment method such as credit cards, electronic money, and code payment with one device. We have solved the issues faced by businesses, such as saving space around cash registers and strengthening hygiene management by reducing contact opportunities.
<Main features of "stera mobile">
In order to meet the payment needs of each operator, we have developed a mobile terminal "stera mobile" that can be carried by wireless (LTE) in collaboration with GMO-FG and TMN, and will start offering it in July 2021.
"Stera Mobile" is an all-in-one payment terminal that follows the payment function of "Stera Terminal". The touch panel is used for the operation screen, and it is possible to handle all payment services such as credit cards, electronic money, and code payment as if it were a smartphone. "Stera Mobile" can be used in a variety of business categories and payment scenes, such as table payment at restaurants, customer service payment at apparel stores, and eaves accounting at the place you visit.
