3月: 東京都渋谷区において、クレジットカード決済処理業務を目的として、資本金60百万円でカード・コール・サービス株式会社を設立

2000年

3月: インテグラン株式会社が当社株式を取得し、当社の親会社となる

9月: 株式会社エムティーアイがインテグラン株式会社から当社株式を取得し、当社の親会社となる

11月: 商号を「株式会社カードコマースサービス」に変更

2004年

7月: 株式会社エムティーアイが当社株式の所有を目的とする持株会社としてCCSホールディング株式会社を設立

9月: グローバルメディアオンライン株式会社(現 GMOインターネットグループ株式会社)が株式会社エムティーアイからCCSホールディング株式会社を株式交換により取得、当社の親会社となる株式会社アスナルからクレジットカード決済事業の営業を譲受

6月: 株式会社三井住友フィナンシャルグループ、株式会社三井住友銀行及び当社親会社であるGMOインターネット株式会社(現 GMOインターネットグループ株式会社)と資本業務提携契約の締結及び株式会社三井住友銀行とGMOインターネット株式会社(現 GMOインターネットグループ株式会社)を割当先とした第三者割当増資を実施し、資本金が47億1,024万円となる

History

1995

March: Established Card Call Service, Inc., a company providing credit card payment processing service, with a capital of ¥60 Mil. in Shibuya, Tokyo.

2000

March: Integran Corp. becomes the parent company by acquiring the shares of Card Call Service, Inc.

September: MTI Corp. acquires shares of Card Call Service, Inc. from Integran Corp. and becomes our parent company.

November: The Company changes its name to Card Commerce Service, Inc.

2004

July: MTI Corp. establishes CCS Holding Co. and transfers the shares of Card Call Service, Inc., to CCS Holding Co.

September: Global Media Online, Inc. (now GMO Internet Group, Inc.) becomes the parent company by acquiring shares of CCS Holding Co. through a share transfer with MTI Corp. Acquires the sales function of the credit card payment business from Asnal Corp.

November: Acquires the entire credit card payment business of Payment-One, Inc.

2005

January: Global Media Online, Inc. (now GMO Internet Group, Inc.) merges with CCS Holding Co.

February: The Company changes its name to GMO Payment Gateway, Inc.

April: Listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Mothers market.

May: Acquires and makes Epsilon, Inc. (now GMO Epsilon, Inc.) a subsidiary (now a consolidated subsidiary).

2008

September: Change of listing market to First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

2010

January: The Company makes COC, Inc. (now GMO Financial Gate, Inc.) an equity-method affiliate (now a consolidated subsidiary).

March: Establishes a new subsidiary Social App Payment Service Corp.

2011

July: Acquires and makes Social Commerce Technology Corp. a subsidiary.

2012

October: Established a new subsidiary GMO PAYMENT GATEWAY PTE. LTD in Singapore. (now the consolidated subsidiary GMO-Z.COM PAYMENT GATEWAY PTE. LTD.).

2013

January: Establishment of GMO Payment Service, Inc. (now a consolidate subsidiary)

September: Established a new subsidiary GMO PAYMENT GATEWAY HONG KONG LIMITED in Singapore. (now the consolidated subsidiary GMO-Z.com PAYMENT GATEWAY HONG KONG LIMITED).

October: Jointly established GMO Global Payment Fund (now an equity method affiliate) in collaboration with GMO Venture Partners, Inc.

December: Established a new subsidiary GMO PAYMENT GATEWAY MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. in Malaysia (now the consolidated subsidiary GMO Z COM PAYMENT GATEWAY MALAYSIA SDN. BHD.).（Transitioned to Dormant Company Status in December 2023）

2014

February: GMO PAYMENT GATEWAY HONG KONG LIMITED (now GMO-Z.com PAYMENT GATEWAY HONG KONG LIMITED) established the Taiwan branch.

May: Established a new subsidiary GMO PAYMENT GATEWAY (THAILAND) CO.,LTD. in Singapore. (now the consolidated subsidiary GMO-Z.com PAYMENT GATEWAY (THAILAND) CO., LTD.).

September: Transferred all the shares of Social App Payment Service Corp.

2015

June: The Company enters into a capital and business alliance with Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation and our parent company GMO Internet, Inc. (now GMO Internet Group, Inc.). Capital stock reaches ¥4.71bn by conducting third party allotment to Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation and GMO Internet, Inc. (now GMO Internet Group, Inc.).

November: Establishment of SMBC GMO PAYMENT, Inc. as a joint venture with Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (now a equity-method affiliate).

2016

August: Acquisition of Macro Kiosk Berhad.

September: Acquisition of GMO Financial Gate, Inc. (now a consolidated subsidiary).

2018

June: Issuance of Euro/Yen zero-coupon CB of par value ¥17bn, maturing in 2023.

August: GMO Medical Reservations Technology Co., Ltd. (renamed GMO Reserve Plus Co.,Ltd., a consolidated subsidiary) acquired by GMO Epsilon, Inc. and becomes a subsidiary.

October: Established a new subsidiary GMO-Z.com PAYMENT GATEWAY USA, Inc. in USA. (now a consolidated subsidiary)
