【Background】
The "Great Place to Work" survey conducted by GPTW Japan is an awareness survey of employees working for entry companies that has been conducted in more than 50 countries around the world for more than 20 years Great Place to Work. The five elements of "fairness," "pride," and "a sense of solidarity" are positioned as constituting "job satisfaction."
GMO-PG has been selected as the best company in the category of 100~999 employees in the 2017 edition of the "Great Place to Work" ranking for the second consecutive year. Based on the concept of "People Determine the Company", GMO-PG aims to achieve the "25% operating profit growth continuity" as a management indicator and to achieve continuous growth over the medium to long term. We are working to create an organization where all partners can share the future vision of our business and the company and move forward together, and we believe that these efforts have led to the improvement of "job satisfaction" for each partner.
[GMO-PG's human resource development and welfare initiatives]
GMO-PG conducts unique human resource development and welfare programs so that each and every one of our partners has a high level of pride and awareness as the "landlord" of the company, and can continue to strive to improve themselves with the aim of becoming professionals.
1) Various human resource development programs such as specialized skills training and management development
We hold study sessions led by the president and other members of the management team to provide education on corporate culture, business knowledge, and specialized knowledge. In addition, we provide a variety of human resource development, including training for managers, specialized skills training for each job type, and management development programs.
2) A system that allows employees to decide their own careers
In order to enable each partner to decide and grow in their own careers, we have introduced a "Career Design System" that allows partners to request a transfer or job rotation once a year based on their own growth vision, the work they want to experience, the skills they want to acquire, etc. In addition, we have introduced "year-round potential recruitment" so that new graduates can choose when they want to join the company outside of April, and they can decide where they will be assigned so that they can work with a high level of motivation in the department they want to work in. Through this system, we have built a system that allows employees to decide their own careers and grow.
In addition, we are focusing on creating an environment in which each partner can be fairly evaluated and grows, such as opportunities for young employees to take on challenges, a system for evaluating individual abilities regardless of gender or nationality, and a 360-degree multifaceted evaluation system that allows subordinates to evaluate their superiors.
3) Creating a comfortable working environment, including welfare facilities
GMO-PG holds a special overseas training course for outstanding partners selected from the various divisions, as part of efforts to create a highly motivated workplace.
As a GMO Internet group company, numerous employee benefits are in place to enable partner's to focus on their work, such as 24/7 Communication Space with free food and drinks, an onsite nursery, onsite massage room, relaxation room (for short rests), as well as concierge services that offers dry cleaning, restaurant booking for corporate events and, gift selection/purchases.
4) A unique system based on GMO-PG's corporate culture of "gratitude"
In order to encourage employees to cherish the spirit of gratitude, which is also part of GMO-PG's corporate culture, in addition to general allowances, we have implemented unique measures in terms of salaries and benefits, such as the payment of a "filial piety allowance" as a salary allowance and the payment of a "student insurance assistance allowance" to help with insurance premiums when applying for children's school insurance.
