【Background】

The "Great Place to Work" survey conducted by GPTW Japan is a survey of the attitudes of employees working for companies that has been conducted in more than 49 countries around the world for more than 20 years Great Place to Work. The five elements of "solidarity" are positioned as constituting "job satisfaction."
GMO-PG has been selected as one of the best companies in the 2016 edition of the "Great Place to Work" ranking in the category of 100~999 employees. Based on the concept of "People Determine the Company", GMO-PG aims to achieve "continuation of profit growth on average of 20%", which has been set since its listing in 2005. In order to achieve continuous growth over the medium to long term, all staff members share the future vision of the business and the company, and we are creating an organization that can move forward together, and we believe that these efforts have led to an improvement in the "job satisfaction" of our staff.

[GMO-PG's human resource development and welfare initiatives]

At GMO-PG, each and every staff member continues to make efforts to improve themselves with a high level of pride and awareness as the "landlord" of the company, and develops unique human resources who can aim to become professionals.

1) Various human resource development programs such as specialized skills training and management development

We hold study sessions led by the president and other members of the management team to provide education on corporate culture, business knowledge, and specialized knowledge. In addition, we provide a variety of human resource development, including training for managers, specialized skills training for each job type, and management development programs.

2) Self-designed career path system

In order for each staff member to decide and grow in their own careers, we have introduced a "Career Design System" that allows employees to request assignment transfers or job rotations once a year based on their own growth vision, the work they want to experience, and the skills they want to acquire. In addition, when assigning new employees, they can decide where they will be assigned so that they can work with a high level of motivation in the department they want to work in. Through this system, we have built a system that allows employees to decide their own careers and grow.
In addition, we are focusing on creating an environment in which all staff can be fairly evaluated and grow, such as opportunities for young employees to take on challenges, a system for evaluating individual abilities regardless of gender or nationality, and a 360-degree multifaceted evaluation system that allows subordinates to evaluate their superiors.

3) Creating a comfortable working environment, such as welfare facilities

As one of the welfare programs, we are focusing on creating an environment where staff can work with high motivation, such as holding special training overseas as a convention for excellent staff selected from each department.
In addition, there is a communication space operated by the GMO Internet Group that can be used 24 hours a day and provides free meals and drinks, an in-house daycare center, an in-house massage facility, a nap space (nap space), etc., as well as a concierge service that allows busy staff to pick up luggage on their behalf, make reservations for farewell parties, and ask for personal errands such as shopping. We have a system in place to make it easy for our staff to work on a daily basis.

4) Unique benefits to encourage "the spirit of gratitude"

In terms of salaries and allowances, in addition to general allowances, we have implemented unique measures such as the payment of "filial piety allowance" as a salary allowance and the "Student Insurance Assistance Allowance" that assists with insurance premiums when taking out school insurance for children, in order to encourage employees to cherish the "spirit of gratitude" that is also part of the corporate culture.
In addition, we provide "maternity leave" and "childcare leave" as childbirth and childcare support so that employees who are giving birth or raising children can work with peace of mind, as well as "spouse maternity leave" and "family support system (fertility support)."
