GMO-PG's "GMO Pallet" introduced to Scubism's "Orange Club"

(TSE part: securities code 3769, President & Chief Executive Officer: Issei Ainoura hereinafter referred to as "GMO-PG") is pleased to announce that GMO Pallet, a smartphone payment service for real stores, has been introduced by Scubism Technology Co., Ltd. (President & Chief Executive Officer: Masanori Takeshita, hereinafter referred to as "S Tech") has introduced it to the "Orange Club", a membership app creation service exclusively for stores, which will be available from August 6, 2015.
GMO-PG will promote omnichannel (*) in the retail, distribution industry, and e-commerce businesses by supporting the efficient operation of both physical stores and e-commerce sites from payment aspects.

In recent years, against the backdrop of an increase in the number of e-commerce sites that can be easily used from smartphones, consumers are now freely choosing where to purchase without barriers such as physical stores and e-commerce sites. In response to this, retailers and other retailers are also moving toward omnichannelization, which seamlessly integrates product management and customer information management without distinguishing between sales channels. However, in order to realize omnichannelization, there are many issues such as system development to integrate the information held by each channel and reform of the organizational structure, and it is not easy to implement.
Under these circumstances, GMO-PG provides payment services for both physical stores and e-commerce sites, so we were wondering if we could support omnichannel transportation from the aspect of "payment product prices" for consumers.
On the other hand, S-Tech, which has been collaborating with GMO-PG on service collaboration, is supporting omnichannel sales by enabling centralized management of customer databases between both the "EC-Orange POS" business system for physical stores and the "EC-Orange" e-commerce site construction package.
Against this backdrop, GMO-PG has decided to provide the smartphone-based payment function of "GMO Pallet" to "Orange Club," a membership app creation service with a membership card function dedicated to stores, which is a new omnichannel support service launched by S Tech.

"Orange Club" provided by S-Tech was developed based on the idea of "having one own brand app as if each company has one website", and is a membership smartphone-based payment app for smartphones (iOS/ Android compatible) is a service that can be created. In addition, consumers can seamlessly access the e-commerce site built with "EC-Orange" provided by S-Tech from within the member app, so consumers can make purchases on the e-commerce site without leaving the app.

"GMO Pallet" developed by GMO-PG is a new type of smartphone-based payment service that provides speedy payment without the need for a wallet.
