Tokyu Corporation (President & Chief Executive Officer: Kazuo Takahashi, hereinafter referred to as "Tokyu"), Tokyu Corporation (President & Chief Executive Officer: Isao Watanabe), LINE Pay Corporation (Chief Executive Officer: Hisahiro Nagafuku, hereinafter referred to as "LINE Pay"), and GMO Payment Gateway, Inc. (President & Chief Executive Officer: Issei Ainoura, hereinafter referred to as "GMO-PG") are mobile remittances and payment at ticket vending machines at each station on the Tokyu Line. We will start a cash balance charge service (hereinafter referred to as the "Service") for the service "LINE Pay" from (Wednesday), July 15, 2020.
This service uses the "Station Ticket Vending Machine Smartphone payment Charge System" jointly developed by Tokyu and GMO-PG. This is the first initiative in Japan to charge smartphone payment services using station ticket vending machines. Simply scan the QR code (*1) displayed on the ticket vending machine with the LINE app and insert cash into the ticket vending machine to top up your LINE Pay with cash. You can use it without a fee from 5:30 a.m. ~ 11 p.m. on weekdays, weekends and holidays on weekdays, and the amount that can be charged at one time is between 1,000 yen and 49,000 yen.

In recent years, as smartphone payment services have become more widespread due to the promotion of cashless payments, there has been a growing need for cash top-ups for smartphone payment services due to young customers who do not have bank accounts or credit cards, and customers who prefer to use them in combination with cash.
Tokyu aims to contribute to the promotion of cashless payments along the Tokyu Line by creating an environment where people can easily charge their smartphones payment services at stations that are familiar to their daily lives, and to provide optimal services tailored to each individual's Thailand lifestyle.
Through this initiative, LINE Pay aims to further improve convenience, respond to a wide range of user needs, and contribute to the cashless operation of the Tokyu Line.
In addition to this initiative, GMO-PG will develop "GMO CashConnect (*2)" to support the construction of an infrastructure that allows cash to be charged at ticket vending machines, ATMs, and other payment machines.
