(TSE part: Securities code 3769, President & Chief Executive Officer: Issei Ainoura hereinafter referred to as "GMO-PG"), which develops comprehensive payment-related services and finance-related services), is a overseas payment service "Z.com Payment" for Japan EC businesses. From November 22, 2016 (Tuesday), we will offer "Convenience Store Pickup payment," which allows you to receive products and payment at convenience stores at the same time.
In Taiwan, which is one of the countries and regions where "Z.com Payment" provides services, CVS Payment (*1) is used more often than Credit card payment in e-commerce use (*2), so in addition to the already provided "Credit card payment" and "CVS Payment (payment only)", a new "convenience store pickup payment" " has been added. This will allow businesses to develop e-commerce sites for Taiwan to cover the payment needs of their buyers and reach even more buyers.

There are two types of CVS Payment in Taiwan: one is to receive and pay for the product at a convenience store, and the other is to pay only at a convenience store.

【Background and Summary】

Taiwan's BtoC e-commerce market continues to grow by double digits every year, and is expected to grow further in the future, with it expected to reach approximately 2.5 trillion yen (*3) in 2016. In addition, Taiwan is one of the easiest regions for Japan companies to expand overseas, due to its proximity to Japan and high logistics convenience, as well as its culture and customs similar to Japan.

Against this backdrop, in March 2014, GMO-PG established a branch office of a Hong Kong subsidiary in Taiwan to support the entry of Japan e-commerce businesses into Taiwan, and provides the overseas payment service "Z.com Payment". In August 2015, we formed a business and capital alliance with Neweb Technologies Co., Ltd., a major Taiwanese payment processing company company, to accelerate our business development in Greater China.
"Z.com Payment" provides payment method such as "Credit card payment", which is the most used in Taiwanese e payment-commerce, as well as "CVS Payment (payment only)" for e-commerce businesses Japan CVS Payment. We will add the following.
As a result, e-commerce businesses will be able to present "convenience store pick-up payment" to buyers as a payment method of their e-commerce sites for Taiwan, and it is expected to acquire a buyer base that they could not reach so far.
