GMO Payment Gateway, Inc. (TSE Part: Securities code 3769 Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, President & Chief Executive Officer: Issei Ainoura hereinafter referred to as GMO-PG) is a new smartphone payment service "GMO Pallet" that allows you to "do table accounting without issuing a card" (*) We have decided to link with three services as the first linkage service.
(1) betrend, a sales promotion support service such as information distribution and coupon distribution for smartphones and mobile phones provided by Btrend Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "betrend"), (2) "Toreta", a reservation ledger application for restaurants provided by Toreta Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Toreta"), and (3) a tablet-type POS system provided by Scubism Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Scubism Technology"). EC-Orange POS" and will start service collaboration around this fall.

With GMO Pallet, customers do not need to take their credit cards out of their wallets at payment because payment at real stores such as restaurants and apparel can be completed on a smartphone app.

"GMO Pallet" means that even in the payment scene at a physical store (real world), you do not need to take out your wallet or credit card like in e-commerce (online), but you can use the smartphone (hereinafter referred to as "smartphone") app (currently only for iOS compatible devices. The Android version will be available this fall) and is a new smartphone-based payment service that allows you to easily payment the price. It has been well received that you do not need to leave your card with the store staff and wait for processing, and you can easily pay at the table. On April 22, 2014, we started using the service mainly at stores in the Dogenzaka area of Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, and are currently expanding the number of stores that use it. So far, more than 50 stores (including planned) have introduced the system (as of June 2, 2014).

In recent years, sales promotions, reservations, POS cash registers, payment, etc. have been used online and smartphone-compatible in actual stores such as restaurants, but there is still no service that comprehensively provides a series of these functions, and each function must be introduced individually in stores. However, when introducing multiple services, customer information must be managed for each service, and management time and effort such as duplication of information are required.
Against this backdrop, GMO-PG has decided to promote the development of cooperation with services such as sales promotion, reservations, and POS cash registers in order to improve the convenience of stores that use GMO Pallet.

GMO-PG will initially collaborate with services provided by three companies: B-Trend, Toreta, and Scubism Technology as the first service collaboration of "GMO Pallet". By linking information such as store visits and purchase history of consumers (= customers) managed by "GMO Pallet" and the payment system with each service, stores can realize efficient sales promotion activities and customer service.
GMO-PG will develop a function to link with each service in preparation for the launch of the service this fall, and will promote the introduction of "GMO Pallet" to stores that use each company's service.

Linkage function 1: Sales promotion support service "betrend" × "GMO Pallet"
"betrend" (http://www.betrend.com/) provided by betrend is a general term for a group of "mobile marketing tools" compatible with smartphones (Android, iOS) and mobile phones (docomo, au, SoftBank). We strongly support mobile-based sales promotion at companies and stores, such as "creating a mobile site," "providing a smartphone app," "detecting store visits using GPS and ultrasound," "distributing information by e-mail, push notification, and SMS," and "distributing coupons." Currently, we provide sales promotion support services such as information distribution and coupon distribution through e-mail newsletters, SMS, and push notifications to approximately 30,000 stores.
In this collaboration, we plan to link customer information managed by "betrend" with information such as customer store visits and purchase history managed by "GMO Pallet". Through this collaboration, it will be possible to distribute information and coupons for smartphones and mobile phones according to the visit and purchase history of "GMO Pallet" from "betrend". Through sales promotions according to customer usage conditions, we will improve the repeat customer rate and unit price of use.

Linkage function 2: Reservation ledger app "Toreta" × "GMO Pallet"
"Toreta (http://toreta.in/)" provided by Treta is a reservation ledger service that manages restaurant reservations. It is a "reservation management infrastructure" that can centrally manage reservations from reservation phones, websites, Twitter, e-mails, etc., and has an integrated customer ledger function that can centrally manage all customer preferences and characteristics, and has become rapidly popular, with orders for 900 stores in five months since the service was launched in December 2013.
In this collaboration, we plan to automatically link customer information such as store visit and purchase history managed by "GMO Pallet" with customer information made reservations through "Toreta". Through this collaboration, it will be possible to improve the accuracy of customer information managed by TORETA, improve hospitality in customer service, and improve operational efficiency.

Linkage function 3: Tablet POS system "EC-Orange POS" × "GMO Pallet"
"EC-Orange POS" (http://ec-cube.ec-orange.jp/pos/ provided by Scubism Technology) is a POS system for restaurants and retail stores that can be used from tablet devices such as iPads® and iPad® minis. Tablet terminals can be used not only for ordering at restaurants and cashiering and accounting at retail stores, but also for customer service, inventory management, and O2O. It has been introduced to approximately 2,600 stores throughout Japan, mainly restaurants and retail stores.
In this collaboration, we plan to automatically link customer information and payment amount data held by "EC-Orange POS" POS cash register with customer information and payment amount data such as store visit and purchase history managed by "GMO Pallet". With this linkage, "GMO Pallet" will take over the accounting information of orders received by "EC-Orange POS" and payment it, saving the time and effort of entering the amount for each service.

"GMO Pallet" is a service developed by GMO-PG as a completely new Thailand payment service that provides a smart consumption experience. Unlike many other smartphone-based payment, customers don't have to take their credit cards out of their wallets at payment because payment at physical stores such as food and beverage and apparel can be completed on a smartphone app. For the store side, it can also improve the efficiency of the payment processing operations.
Customers (consumers) who pay the fee can simply load the "GMO Pallet" app (free of charge) yes download it, register their credit card information (*1), and payment at the store can be at the store with two touches (1 swipe = check-in and 1 Thailand input = 4-digit PIN) with a smartphone. You can also get coupons from the stores you use, so you can enjoy dining and shopping at a great price.
On the other hand, after completing the application procedure for "GMO Pallet" (*2), the store will be able to use the store's dedicated "GMO Pallet Cash Register" app (currently only for iOS compatible devices.
