Japan provide Credit card payment services to the Postal Service

Credit card payment GMO Payment​Gateway Co., Ltd. (TSE Mothers: Securities Code: ​3769Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, President & Chief Executive Officer: Issei AinouraGMO-PG) has decided to start providing Credit card payment services to Japan Postal Service. 

Japan Japan Postal Service (JFTC) announced​ on April 2 that in addition to the conventional mail-order application at post office counters, the Japan Postal Service will add a design process through the web, sell online, and payment by credit card in addition to the conventional mail-order application at the post office counter.It​ starts at 10a.m. on Monday. 

GMO-PG's Credit card payment service has been adopted for payment processing of credit card payments. 

In addition, we will continue to utilize the comprehensive know-how related to Internet business of GMO Internet Group companies to support the development of​ various Internet aspects of Japan Japan Postal Service, not only in Credit card payment.

In the case of postal transfer payment, please use the general payment handling slip provided at the post office, not the dedicated payment handling slip.

The public fund market, which is a field where credit cards have not yet been introduced, is said to be 20 trillion yen ~ 50 trillion yen, and the application of this market to credit card payments is expected to lead to further expansion of the credit card market in the future, as well as improvements in the convenience of people's lives and improvement in the operational efficiency of the public sector.

GMO-PG has been developing markets for fields where credit cards have not yet been introduced, such as utility charge and public fund, and in 2006 we provided Credit card payment services for fields such as NHK subscription fees, rent, and food delivery (home delivery and delivery). On February 5 of this year, it will be adopted for credit card payment of water bills, which is scheduled to start by the Bureau of Waterworks of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. We will use this recruitment as an impetus to pay other taxes and provide services to municipalities nationwide.
