Next-generation hybrid payment terminals
Collaboration with Scubism Technology's "Orange POS"

GMO Financial Gate, Inc. (President & Chief Executive Officer: Akira Takano, hereinafter referred to as "GMO-FG"), which develops payment processing business such as face-to-face credit cards, which is an affiliate of GMO Payment Gateway, Inc. in the GMO Internet Group, is a CCT terminal (*1) certified by the ^{Japan Credit Card Association (JCCA)} "VEGA3000-Touch" will start service collaboration with the tablet POS cash register "Orange POS" of Scubism Technology Co., Ltd. (President & Chief Executive Officer: Masanori Takeshita, hereinafter referred to as "S-Tech") from today, May 10, 2016.
As a result, stores that use "Orange POS" will be able to provide customers with multiple payment method that "VEGA3000-Touch" supports, and if you enter payment method and amount in "Orange POS", it will be automatically reflected in "VEGA3000-Touch", reducing the burden of cashier work at the store.

Since January 2016, GMO-FG has been offering the next-generation hybrid payment terminal "VEGA3000-Touch" equipped with a contact-type card reader that supports magnetic cards and IC cards, and a contactless card reader used in "holding" payment.
On the other hand, Orange POS, a tablet POS register provided by S-Tech, is a service for real stores such as restaurants and retail stores that allows users to use a variety of functions such as sales analysis, customer management, and promotions from a tablet device, in addition to basic POS cash register functions such as accounting functions and product and inventory management. In terms of mobile POS market share (Actual 2013), we have the No. 1 market share (* ²⁾ (21.2%), and have been introduced to more than 4,700 ^{stores (*3).}​
GMO-FG has started a service collaboration with Orange POS for VEGA3000-Touch to reduce the burden of cash register operations at stores and to provide a wide range of payment method services to store customers ^(*4). As a result, stores using "Orange POS" can achieve the following two things.

1) The payment method amount entered on "OrangePOS" will be automatically synced to the "VEGA3000-Touch" app. Therefore, there is no need to enter the payment method or amount in "VEGA3000-Touch" each time accounting (payment), reducing the workload and preventing incorrect input of amounts.
In addition, payment method ・ Synchronization of amounts is done by connecting terminals with cables, and Wi-Fi connection is also supported.

2) In addition to the contact IC card payment and contactless IC card payment (NFC payment such as Apple Pay) that are currently available at "Orange POS", the following payment method that are scheduled to be deployed with "VEGA3000-Touch" will be available sequentially.

• J-Debit payment (Scheduled to be released in June 2016)
• China UnionPay payment (Scheduled to be available in June 2016)
• Nationwide Common Points payment (Scheduled to be provided in July 2016)
• E-money payment (Scheduled to be available in October 2016)
• House prepaid payment (Coming October 2016)

1) As a hybrid payment terminal, it can be adapted to various payment scenes

"VEGA3000-Touch" can be used not only with conventional magnetic cards, but also with Credit card payment of IC cards, which are common overseas, and even payment contactless IC cards that are simply "swiped" over them. Therefore, if we introduce applications that support e-money and China UnionPay point payment, which we plan to develop and provide in the future, it will be possible to flexibly apply them to payment method, which are becoming more diverse.

2) Compact single enclosure complies with global security standards

"VEGA3000-Touch" integrates the three enclosures of the main unit, card reader, and pin pad (PIN input terminal), which are usually required for payment terminals, into one compact chassis, which not only saves space, but also makes it easy to move and carry. In addition, we have obtained PCI-PTS ^(*5) certification, which is a security standard for credit card readers, until 2020, so we can realize a safe and secure trading environment.

(*5) PCIPTS (Payment Card Industry-Pin Transaction Security) is a security standard for payment terminals established by PCISSC (Credit payment Security Planning and Development Steering Committee, established by five international card brands).

3) Common use of the application is possible for both stationary and mobile types.

Two types are available: a stationary type with a LAN connection and a mobile type with a built-in LTE communication module, and both can be used in common applications. This makes it possible to E-money payment on a mobile basis.
