1.Application

You are required to submit following materials.

  • ・Application form (must be signed by the representative)
  • ・Certificate of the registered seal (the original document must be issued within the last 3 months).
  • ・Certified copy of the register (the original document must be issued within the last 3 months).
  • ・Identification documents of the business manager (the copy of driver’s license or other identification document that include the address).

2.Examination

We conduct the examination based on the information indicated in [1].
Our remittance service may not be available in some cases depending on the examination results.

3.Test environment integration

We provide the test environment, so please check connection and operation in the test environment.

4.Production environment

We provide the production environment as soon as we complete the system test and you review operation in the test environment.

When can I use the remittance service?

You can use our remittance service to make repayments within E-commerce websites, or remittance to sellers on auctions and C2C websites.

Why should I use your service?

There are 3 reasons why:

Will you preserve the deposited funds?

As the money transfer operator, we preserve the whole amount of the deposited funds.

Which documents are necessary for the contract?

Besides the application form, you need a certified copy of the register, a certificate of the registered seal issued within the last three months and a copy of identification documents of the business manager.

How long does it take to sign the contract?

Approximately 1-2 months.

How can I confirm the status of remittance funds?

You can confirm it on the administrative screen or by the inquiry API of the remittance funds balance.

How long does it take to transfer money?

It takes from two to four business days after the day the remittance funds and remittance instructions were received.

How can I check the status of the remittance?

You can check the status on the administrative screen or by the API that refers to the remittance result.

We send the "Invoice and remittances statement" five business days after the last day of a month.

Please make the payment by the end of the next month.

Notes

Difference from exchange transaction conducted by banks

  • ・GMO Payment Gateway, Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "the Company") is a money transfer operator according to the Payment Services Act. The registration number of the Company is Kanto Local Finance Bureau No. 00037.
  • ・"GMO-PG Remittance Service" does not relate to exchange transactions conducted by banks.
  • ・"GMO-PG Remittance Service" does not accept deposits, savings, installments savings (refers to installment savings prescribed in Article 2, paragraph 2 of the Banking Law).
  • ・"GMO-PG Remittance Service" is not the subject of the insurance payment prescribed in Article 53 of the Deposit Insurance Law or Article 55 of the Agricultural and Fishery Cooperation Savings Insurance Act.
  • ・Regarding the protection of the service’s users, the system for Providing Funds Transfer Services is established according to the Payment Services Act. The Company preserves the deposited remittance funds under the guarantee contract with Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation.
  • ・According to the procedure in the Payment Services Act, the remitter has the right on the refund claim for providing funds until the remittance funds arrive to the recipient’s account.

Regulations on the Processing of Complaints

The Company has formulated "Regulations of the Processing of Complaints" and has established an internal organization to respond to complaints in a timely and promptly manner.

According to the Financial ADR System, the Company implements the following measures in response to complaints from users.

  • ・If the Company concludes that the complaint cannot be resolved by itself, it will request the "Consumer consultation room" of the "Japan Payment Service Association" (hereinafter the "Association") to handle the processing of the complaint.
  • ・If the "Consumer consultation room" of the Association cannot resolve it, and the complaint develops into the conflict, the Company will arrange the "Tokyo Bar Association", the "Dai-ichi Tokyo Bar Association" or the "Dai-ni Tokyo Bar Association" to users through the Association.
