What is PG Multi-Payment Service?

PG Multi-Payment Service is a comprehensive payment platform that enables our customers to deploy various payment methods easily in one package. Available payment methods include credit card payment, convenience store payment (with the payment number), Pay-easy (bank ATM, online banking, and mobile banking), e-money (Mobile Edy, iD Net, WebMoney), PayPal, cash on delivery, account transfer, carrier billing, Rakuten ID Payment, etc.

Is it possible to use payment services at actual stores or card-present sales?

No. GMO Payment Gateway mainly offers payment services for online sales (mail-order, E-commerce, etc.). If you consider using a payment terminal at your store, we would like to introduce you to our consolidated subsidiary. Please fill in the same form provided below.

GMO Smart Shiharai that enables credit card payments via the mobile app, can be implemented at restaurants, apparel stores and other physical stores.

From where are sales payments received?

If you use our Representative Contract with merchants, sales are paid to you in lump sum by us. However, if you have direct contracts with credit card companies, sales are paid by each credit card company separately. Please contact us for more information.

Are there any restrictions on supported products (contents)?

Our services cannot be used for payments of products/services that violate the laws, products/services that are offensive to public order and morals, and others that we and other payment service providers find inappropriate. Please contact us for more details.

Is there an agent program for your company’s payment services?

We have prepared partner programs, including the wholesale type and the strategic alliance type for businesses that offer various support services for E-commerce, such as E-commerce package, shopping cart, affiliate service, SEO, recommendation service, etc.

What security measures are taken by your company?

We take various security measures for both merchants and consumers, in our business operations and our service offerings.
Regarding our business operations, we strive to maintain the information security environment in compliance with the following information security standards:

1.Business operation based on the Personal Information Protection Act as a policy of the Japan Consumer Credit Association, in accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.

2.Business operation to maintain information security in physical and logic manner, based on ISO/IEC 27001:2013 (domestic standard JIS Q 27001:2014), a certification standard recognized as the global standard for information security management.

3.The system environment based on obtaining the AIS certification, a security audit program of Visa International.

Regarding our service offerings, GMO-PG is fully compliant with 3D Secure (Personal Authorization Service), Security Code and non-retention of credit card information. Please contact us for more information.

About systems

What system connection methods are used?

PG Multi-Payment Service provides three connection types: protocol, module, and link.

1.Protocol type: we develop the program on your website according to the connection specifications. Data exchange is conducted by using request/response communication via https communication.

2.Module type: we install the payment processing module (program) in the server of your website. There is no need to conduct development for communications processing. Java/PHP versions are available.

3.Link type: your website links (screen transition) to the payment screen prepared by us. The payment screen can be designed by editing the template.

Is it necessary to prepare an SSL environment?

No. In the payment communications between merchants and our payment center, there is no need for you to prepare it, as our payment center prepares an SSL encrypted communication environment (128 bit).

However, in the communication environment between you and your customers which you prepare for entering shipping details, shopping cart, and membership registration, we recommend that you prepare the SSL environment to provide your customers with a secure use of your website.

About administrative screens

Is there an administrative screen for confirming/managing payment information?

Yes, there is. By using the administrative screen that we prepare, you can view details and the history of transactions, change the content of transactions, etc. Also, it enables secure operation of your store by allowing to set up three users.

About credit card payment

I don’t have a merchant contract with a credit card company. Can I still install a credit card payment service?

Merchant contracts with all five major brands, including Visa, Mastercard, JCB, Diners, and AMEX, can be signed though a single contract with us. Please be informed, that we conduct merchant’s screening prior to service implementation.

Is it possible to handle recurring payments such as collection of membership fees and subscriptions?

Yes. We have many use cases when merchants introduced our recurring payments for provider and cable TV charges, magazine subscription, and digital content.

Is it possible to freely designate the name of the store listed on the credit card statement which is delivered to the customer?

Yes. The name of the store is designated on the credit card statement.

About convenience store payment

Is it possible to implement convenience store payment only?

Yes, you can, but it is assumed that you will use our Multi-Payment Platform. Moreover, you will be able to add other payment methods by just changing settings.

About how long is required until service implementation?

It takes from three weeks to two months to start the operation.

This period includes: initial application, merchant screening, ID issuing, and system integration.

We provide detailed consultations and accept requests regarding our payment services.
