GMO Internet Group's GMO Payment Gateway, Inc. (TSE part: Securities Code: 3769, President & Chief Executive Officer: Issei Ainoura, hereinafter referred to as "GMO-PG"), which develops comprehensive payment-related services and finance-related services, has partnered with JTB Corp. (President & CEO: Hiroyuki Takahashi, hereinafter referred to as "JTB") to add "Multi-currency credit card payment (DCC)" to its comprehensive payment service "PG Multi-Payment Service" and will start offering it on September 24, 2019 (Tuesday).
" Multi-currency credit card payment (DCC)" is a payment method that allows international purchasers to pay by credit card in their home currency using the exchange rate of the day. GMO-PG will continue to expand its "Multi-currency credit card payment" and support more e-commerce businesses that are developing cross-border e-commerce businesses.
【Background and Summary】
In recent years, the cross-border BtoC EC market is expanding worldwide (*1), and an increasing number of EC businesses in Japan are starting to develop cross-border EC businesses as one of the measures to further expand sales. GMO-PG supports e-commerce businesses engaged in cross-border e-commerce business by providing payment method other than Japan yen-denominated Credit card payment, which are easy for overseas purchasers to use, such as Multi-currency credit card payment (MCP), Alipay payment, and PayPal, which allow you to pay by credit card in your own currency with a predetermined sales amount.
In order to support the cross-border EC business development of more e-commerce businesses, GMO-PG will add JTB's "DCC payment Service" that allows customers to pay by credit card in their own currency using the exchange rate of the day to the comprehensive payment service "PG Multi-Payment Service" and will start offering it as "Multi-currency credit card payment (DCC)".
This will allow e-commerce businesses to choose a payment method that is more suitable for their cross-border e-commerce business.

About JTB's DCC payment Service
（URL：https://www.jtb-jbi.co.jp/dcc/）JTB's DCC payment Service, which is developed for accommodation facilities and cross-border e-commerce sites, is a payment method that allows overseas purchasers to pay by credit card in their home currency using the exchange rate of the day. Unlike Japan yen-denominated Credit card payment, the amount is displayed in the home currency and can be Credit card payment in that amount, so overseas buyers can payment without being affected by exchange rate fluctuations.
Businesses can avoid exchange rate risks because the sales amount is fixed at the exchange rate at the time of the transaction.
