"GMO-PG Global Payment" is a overseas payment service for Japan businesses that expand into overseas countries and develop non-face-to-face businesses such as E-commerce. GMO-PG is in the process of establishing overseas bases in Asia to expand the service area, and this is the fifth overseas base in Thailand, following Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Taiwan.

GMO-PG was acquired in October 2012 by the Singapore Consolidated subsidiary GMO PAYMENT GATEWAY PTE. Starting with the establishment of LTD., we have been promoting the development of payment processing business mainly in Asia, and now we provide the overseas payment service "GMO-PG Global Payment" through our Singapore subsidiary, Hong Kong subsidiary and its Taiwan branch, and Malaysian subsidiary.
GMO-PG has determined that there is a high need to enter Thailand as an overseas expansion destination for Japan businesses that develop non-face-to-face businesses such as E-commerce as they are expanding their business in the Asian region. This is due to the fact that Thailand has overcome political instability on a number of occasions and has achieved economic growth more than 10 times in the past 30 years (*1), and that the number of Japan companies expanding into Thailand has increased by about 25% in the last two years to 3,924 (*2), and the number E-commerce of companies expanding into Thailand is expected to increase in the future. and the non-face-to-face business market, which sells games and digital content, is expanding rapidly.
Therefore, in early May 2014, GMO-PG formed a business alliance with 2C2P, a major Thai payment processing company operator that provides payment services such as Credit card payment and cash receipt agency, and established a local subsidiary in Thailand by accepting investment from the company and others. We are pleased to announce that our Thai subsidiary has started offering GMO-PG Global Payment, a overseas payment service for local Japan companies and businesses planning to enter the market in the future.

GMO-PG will continue to expand its services by establishing local subsidiaries or branch offices in Southeast Asia and East Asian countries and regions, and by collaborating with optimal alliance partners who provide major payment method in each country and region.
