(TSE Prime Market: Stock Code 3769, President & Chief Executive Officer: Issei Ainoura) has been awarded an "A-" (Leadership Level) rating in the Climate Change Report 2023 by CDP, an international environmental non-profit organization, as a company that is implementing best practices in managing environmental issues.
【Background and Summary】
The Company and its consolidated companies (hereinafter referred to as "the Company") are promoting initiatives to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in order to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society. On a consolidated basis for the fiscal year ending September 2023, we achieved GHG emissions effectively zero in Scope 1 and 2, achieving carbon neutrality (*1). In January 2023, we announced our support for the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) and are working to expand our disclosure of information on climate change.
We are pleased to announce that we have received an "A- (Leadership Level)" rating from CDP, an international environmental non-profit organization, as a company that is implementing best practices in managing environmental issues in the Climate Change Report 2023. This is second only to the highest rating of "A" (109 out of 1,984 Japan companies that responded (*2)).
This time, we will reduce GHG emissions (Scope 1 and 2) to achieve carbon neutrality, engage with suppliers to reduce GHG emissions (Scope 3) derived from the supply chain, provide cashless payment (*3) with low environmental impact, identify and disclose risks that future climate change may affect our business, We believe that the following points have been evaluated.
In addition to our efforts to reduce GHG emissions, we will continue to promote cashless payment with a low environmental impact, and work to reduce the environmental impact of our customers and society by providing services that contribute to the growth of online businesses and FinTech services in Japan and overseas that have a low environmental impact, as well as our company, and transform to a decarbonized society. We aim to realize a sustainable society.

CDP is an international not-for-profit organization that operates a global disclosure system for investors, companies, nations, regions, and cities to manage their environmental impacts. CDP provides companies with three questionnaires: climate change, forests, and water security, and the climate change questionnaire evaluates responses to climate change issues based on answers to questions such as greenhouse gas emissions and business risks and opportunities due to climate change. It is scored at the levels of "Information Disclosure", "Awareness", "Management", and "Leadership", and is given a score on a scale of 8 from A to D-.
