GMO Payment Gateway, Inc. (TSE Mothers: Securities Code: 3769 Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, President & Chief Executive Officer: Issei Ainoura (hereinafter referred to as GMO-PG) is a newly developed ASP-type Credit card payment service "PG Card" with the aim of "safety", "high functionality", and "easy introduction" for companies that have introduced the product. Credit card payment payment Service" has been on sale since February 14 (Thursday).

Overview

For more than 10 years, GMO-PG's Credit card payment service has been used by approximately 16,000 merchants, including major mail-order businesses, e-commerce businesses, NHK, and municipalities such as the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's Bureau of Waterworks. We have developed and officially launched the new Credit card payment ASP service "PG Card payment Service" that condenses the know-how of payment operations to date and further pursues "safety" and "high functionality" while simultaneously realizing "easy installation" in the ASP type.

"PG Card payment Service" is a non-face-to-face service for non-face-to-face businesses that allows you to choose the specifications that suit your business from three grades of "Entry", "Standard", and "Advanced" (*For details on each grade, please refer to [References]) Credit card payment ASP service, which provides safety through high information security measures in all grades. In addition to having the expandability and functions of the system with an eye on the next generation, it is easy for businesses to introduce and upgrade after introduction.

As a result, businesses of a wide range of sizes, environments, and forms can use this Credit card payment ASP service with peace of mind into the future.

In addition, we have already received unofficial consent from 62 businesses, from major mail order businesses to major e-commerce businesses, for short-term pre-sales.

Features of PG Card payment Service
Three types of connection methods are provided as standard.

Three types of connection interfaces to the GMO-PG server are available as standard, ranging from a type that can be introduced in a short period of time to a type that allows free program development, depending on the customer's system policy and installation time.

(a) Link type

This is a type that requires the setting of payment parameters and the linking specification to the editable payment screen template provided by GMO-PG, realizing easy introduction by minimizing development man-hours and unprecedented free screen editing.

(b) Module type

This is a type in which the payment processing program (*provided by Java and PHP) provided by GMO-PG is installed on the customer's server, and the development of the communication part can be omitted.

(c) Protocol type

It is a type that publishes the connection specification (API) to the GMO-PG server, and customers can freely develop payment programs.

4 security features as standard

In order to significantly reduce the risk of information leakage and ensure that consumers and businesses can use Internet transactions with peace of mind, we provide Credit card payment services equipped with various information security functions as standard.

(a) Equipped with a non-retention card information function as standard

There is no need to store credit card information, which is important information, in the business operator's system. As a result, even in the unlikely event of an accident at the operator, the customer's card information will not remain in the operator's system, so the risk of information leakage can be greatly reduced.

(b)Standard support for 3-D Secure

This is a function that authenticates the identity of cardholders at payment times, recommended by Visa International, MasterCard International, and JCB with the aim of preventing third-party fraud in Internet transactions, such as "identity theft fraud". This allows businesses to improve the reliability of their shops, guarantee payment and reduce costs in online transactions.

(c) Standard support for Security Code

Security Code refers to the last 3 or 4 digits printed on the back of the credit card, which is information that is not included in the magnetic information of the card, and is information that only the cardholder can understand, so it is recommended to use it as a method of identity authentication to prevent misuse by third parties by counterfeit cards.

(d) Administrator permission setting function is installed as standard.

In consideration of information security, the administrator screen is restricted so that it can only be accessed from an administrative PC with a client certificate installed. In addition, access permissions to the management screen can be set in three stages, and it is also possible to prevent information leakage from within the organization.

Equipped with a card information registration function (*Standard on Standard and Advanced)

Credit card payment is an indispensable function for e-commerce in the future, which is captured from a marketing perspective. By retaining customers, we will improve sales in the non-face-to-face sales business.

By registering the member ID and card information issued by the business operator at the time of the customer's initial authentication on the GMO-PG server, when the customer returns, it is possible to perform the payment procedure with only the login information without having to enter the card information again. It is a function suitable for differentiating from rival shops by retaining customers.

* Up to 5 cards can be registered per user.

Equipped with a highly accurate recurring payment function (*Standard on Advanced)

It can prevent the loss of sales opportunities and the increase in workload due to expiration of recurring payment and card number expiration, and greatly improve the operational efficiency of business operators.

Future Prospects

Currently, the private final consumption expenditure of the Japan is about 291 trillion yen (*1), of which only about 32 trillion yen (*2) is handled by Credit card payment, but the Credit card payment market is expected to expand further in the future, leading to improvements in the convenience of people's lives.

GMO-PG will continue to strive to disseminate and promote Credit card payment services in the field of online product sales and monthly payment that are closely related to daily life.
