In August 2024, GMO Financial Gate, Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, President & Chief Executive Officer: Kentaro Sugiyama, hereinafter referred to as "GMO-FG"), which develops a face-to-face cashless payment platform through the GMO Internet Group, has been certified as a company that promotes women's participation and advancement in the workplace, Eruboshi Certification (2 stars) by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare.
GMO-FG was recognized as a company with excellent achievement status of four of the five initiatives for women's empowerment established by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare ("recruitment," "work styles such as working hours," "ratio of managerial positions," and "diverse career courses").

GMO-FG's Initiatives for Women's Empowerment

Based on the idea that a company is a place to nurture people, GMO-FG is committed to creating an environment where partners (employees) can maximize their abilities, and we are also focusing on promoting the active participation of women.
Specifically, we have established a "Career Design System" that allows all partners to think about their own medium-term careers and apply once a year for assignments, transfers, and job rotations.
In addition, we are actively promoting women to managerial positions and increasing the average length of service of female workers, such as providing financial benefits according to each life stage such as marriage and childcare, encouraging employees to take maternity and childcare leave, and encouraging shortened working hours for childcare.

"Eruboshi Certification" is a system in which the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare certifies companies that have formulated and submitted an action plan based on the Act on Promotion of Women's Participation and Advancement in the Workplace and have excellent status of initiatives related to women's empowerment. Out of the five evaluation items ((1) recruitment, (2) continued employment, (3) work styles such as working hours, (4) ratio of managers, and (5) diverse career courses), the evaluation is based on three levels according to the number of items that meet the criteria.
