(GMO-PG) of the GMO Internet Group, which offers comprehensive payment-related services and financial-related services, is very proud to be recognized as the Best Workplace for 4 years running, in the 2019 Great Place to Work® survey by Great Place To Work Institute Japan(GPTW Japan).

This fourth consecutive award reflects our belief that 'Business is People', and the continued emphasis we place on proprietary talent development and employee benefits and in well sharing a common Vision with all our partners (i.e. employees). 【Background】

The Great Place To Work survey is based on an employee survey of participating companies, and is carried out in 60 countries worldwide over 20 years. Great Place To Work is defined as a trusting workplace where the employees trust the company and its management/managers, where employees have pride in their work, and share camaraderie with their coworkers. The employee survey is assessed on these five constituents of a Great Workplace, namely, trust, respect, fairness, pride and camaraderie.

GMO-PG has been listed as a Great Workplace in the 2019 Great Place To Work list in the Medium Organization category (employees of 100 to 999 range) for four years consecutively. GMO-PG strives to build an organization based on the belief that 'Business is People,' where all the employees share in the business and company Vision to jointly realize the management target of a sustained 25% Operating Profit growth. These continued efforts is what leads to enhancing the workplace for each partner and which had led to this prestigious award.

【GMO-PG's Talent Development and Employee Benefits】

We at GMO-PG have in place our proprietary talent development and employee benefit system that is designed to encourage each partner to take ownership and pride in the work and to continuously strive to achieve the highest levels of professionalism.

1) Management Level Training, Business Skill Enhancement and other Talent Development Programs

GMO-PG periodically convenes internal study sessions to explain the new businesses/services and also to impart the company's corporate culture, business skills and specialized knowledge to partners, lectured by President and many other Directors. We have various training modules for Management Level Training, Business Skill Enhancement for New/Young recruits, Compliance Training as well as Specialized Training courses.

2) Self-designed career path system

At GMO-PG we respect each partner's choice of career and provides the necessary assistance for the partner to realize their growth potential. For example, the Career Design System allows partner's to request job rotation or reassignments based on the annual self-assessment of their growth path, jobs/positions that the partner wants to experience and skill-training. There are many examples where partners have been reassigned to other divisions in order to realize their job preferences and career path. The Around-the-Year Recruiting enables graduate recruits to join the first in April or October in case their graduation timing does not follow the Japanese schedule (March graduation). In order to sustain their high motivation, new recruits are able to choose the division to be assigned to, based on OJT training at all of the divisions, which empowers employees to forge their own career on their own, and raises their professional motivation.

3) Employee Benefits to foster a friendly workplace

GMO-PG holds a special overseas training course for outstanding partners selected from the various divisions, as part of efforts to create a highly motivated workplace.
As a GMO Internet group company, numerous employee benefits are in place to enable partner's to focus on their work, such as 24/7 Communication Space with free food and drinks, an onsite nursery, onsite massage room, relaxation room (for short rests), as well as concierge services that offers dry cleaning, restaurant booking for corporate events and, gift selection/purchases.

4) Unique benefits to encourage "the spirit of gratitude"

To foster the corporate culture of "the spirit of gratitude," GMO-PG provides a Filial Piety Allowance, and the "Education Insurance Allowance" that supplements the education insurance premiums, in addition to the standard way and allowance package. A very unique allowance called Life Plan Allowance is given to encourage partners to proactively design their life.
GMO-PG provides unique benefits such as the Spousal Maternity Leave, Family Support Leave (Pregnancy Support) and Staggered Working Hours, in addition to the standard Maternity Leave and Child Care Leave system to enable parents to raise children comfortably.
